About Aisha Meel
Aisha Meel is the creative mind behind the publishing house de Wonderwolk, a studio that creates illustrations, books, and materials to help young children experience God’s love.
Although she holds a doctorate in Medical Sciences, her greatest passion is sharing the Christian faith with young children through stories and illustrations.
Aisha came to faith at the age of eighteen through street evangelism. When her own children were born, she longed to share God’s love with them from the very beginning. During her search for resources for a Christian upbringing, she discovered that many other parents were looking for the same thing. From that desire, de Wonderwolk was born.
Since then, she has written numerous children’s books and created a wide range of materials to support Christian upbringing at home, in church, and in early childhood education.
De Wonderwolk (Dutch for “the Wonder Cloud”) refers to the biblical image of the cloud that guided and protected God’s people. The name reflects the heart behind the studio: creating gentle stories and illustrations that help children discover God’s love.
